Eric Goes To Rome

Eric didn’t have a very easy time in Rome. He wasn’t accepted as readily as he has been in other places. He wasn’t allowed to visit the Vatican, they said he would be seen as offensive! However, he did see some of Rome and some pictures were obtained.

Trying the local food, he was a very hungry tontuu!

He hid under our shawls when we went into The Vatican and again in the Sistine Chapel.

 

The colosseum was Eric’s favourite, what a monument to explore.

 

Finally, on our last day, Eric made a friend. They are going to be penpals now, her name is Erica and she is from Sweden.

Eric Goes To Cornwall!

Eric, myself and Reiss took a little break to Helston in Cornwall. We visited many places and Eric is pleased to show you all his photo album of the 5 day visit.

On our way to Cornwall we went to The Eden Project.

As usual Eric made friends with the locals.

We stayed at Lower Pentire Barn on the Carminowe Creek which joined onto the River Loe.

Eric liked to show his skills off in starting the log burner. We was very impressed!

Another friend made. This is Totoro he is a Japanese Tree Dweller. Similar Folklore to that of the Tontuu.

We went for some long hikes around the picturesque area. Eric just could not believe the stunning views!

We were very close to the Loe Bar which separated the river from the Sea. It was extremely windy!

We took a trip to the Enchanted forest in the fishing village of Gweek and Eric had Cornish tea with the Piskie King.

We all visited Kynance Cove, which we all agreed was an amazingly picturesque place.

Eric Goes To The Beach

I thought that a good experience of the UK for Eric would be a trip to the beach. As an avid adventurer Eric was extremely excited and couldn’t wait to explore.

When he first arrived it was a calm sea and low tide, it came in quickly though because he nearly got swept away. This area was completely underwater 10 minutes later!

Personally I find seaweed slimey and not very pleasant, Eric however thought it was fantastic!

Climbing again as always…

Eric has put his name onto the long, long waiting list for his very own beach hut!

The end of a long day and a very good adventure. We both really enjoyed ourselves at the beach and Eric cannot wait for his next adventure.

An Adventurer From Lapland

I would like you all to meet my Tontuu, Eric.

Eric is a house gnome from Lapland, who has decided to travel to the UK. He has lived for many years looking after his house, keeping it safe, but has grown tired of the same routine everyday and decided to become an adventurer.

Every gnome needs to have a cliche picture to send back home 🙂

He wanted to get a higher perspective of things so he could assess where to go next, unfortunately this plant pot was not high enough.

This was a much better view, but took him most of the morning to climb it! From this vantage point Eric spotted a park, Lapland doesn’t have many playgrounds due to all the snow and he was so excited to try it out.

He does love climbing! He found what seemed to him to be a massive lake with a very strange looking fish…

Whilst at the lake, Eric made a friend. It is a bit of an unusual pairing, his only friends at home are the local Reindeer and they get a bit too rowdy for him.

He can’t wait to see more of the UK, this was just the first adventure of many he told me…
