January

January has been a slow month for me and photography. I have taken my camera out on several occasions but have thus far been hardly inspired by much of what I have seen. I have a random collection to post today of mismatched photos taken on these occasions. I hope February turns out to be a better month.Fields

These two images were taken on New Years day in Belhus Woods on a wander in the relative sunshine.

The next collection of images were taken in Martinhole Wood after the snow had settled.

This last collection I took today. My mothers orchid is in full bloom and it is a beauty to behold.

  1. I think the photos of the reeds are cool! You snapped them in the briefest bit of sunshine we had all day 😀 The Martinhole Woods ones arn’t as strong as your usual photos but nethertheless still interesting.

Very nice orchid photos, liking the dof. Looks like a snakes tounge and fangs coming out of them!

  2. Really like the photos of the little fluffy stick things! Some very nice shadows going on, it would have been nice to see one without the trees in the background and just sky (i know you cant magic things away 😦 I’m always wanting to remove stuff) The orchids are also nice and as Reiss said the DoF is awesome!
